Why Google Adwords

Google is the largest search engine in the world!

Over 90% of all Australian internet users are using Google. With an audience of 9.6 million people, it is by far the largest and most popular search engine in Australia. Google AdWords works on a pay per click basis. This means that you are only charged when your ad is clicked on. While your ad is displayed as a result of a Google search, but not clicked on – you do not pay. Many people believe that your position in Google is entirely based on how much you are willing to spend per click. It is true that your position is largely determined by your per click budget, however it is not the only determining factor to where your ad is displayed.

It is quite possible that an Ad being displayed in position #1 is paying less per click than an ad being displayed in a lower position. A Google AdWords campaign is very flexible both in terms of geographical exposure, and financial commitment. You can decide to display your advertising to only a single suburb, a range of suburbs, your city, your state, the whole country or even the world. Your Adwords campaign can be switched on or switched off in a matter of minutes – effectively an ‘on-tap’ advertising model. Most other advertising media require an upfront commitment irrespective of results, are far more expensive, and a lot less flexible. Where else can you double or half your advertising budget as you go, depending on season, existing commitments and available product/staff.

  • how times it was clicked;

  • conversion rate;

  • cost per lead etc.

A word of warning…
